Where are you my friend?
In the confused labyrinth
of your mind,
I cannot find you.
Are my visits pointless?
One more try. . .
"I love you."
The answer--
three squeezes
from your hand.
Write a story in 33 words.
Do not use 'lost' in the story.

ReplyDeleteNice piece. And I love the new look of your blog! is that Sweden?
ReplyDeleteThank you, MOV. Yes, Stockholm. Thought I would write a piece on memory genes or do we have them for places we have seen for the first time but feels as if we have been there before.
ReplyDeleteSweet and a little sad at the same time. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI felt so sad for the persona in this poem. And yet, at the end, hopeful. At the beginning, I thought it was someone lost to dementia or Alzheimer's. At the end, I thought there was a chance for getting better.
ReplyDeleteSo poignant. For anyone who has experienced a loved one losing their place in the world, this is exactly what it is like.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Trifextra this weekend. I'm impressed with how much you got in in just 33 words. From despair to hope. It's really nicely done. Hope you'll come back on Monday.
